2023 Summer Special Day Themes
When we say OUTRAGEOUS FUN. WE MEAN IT!
During each week-long session, one or more days are dedicated to a theme. We call it a “Special Day.” On Special Days, themed activities take place all over camp and always culminate with a great Anokijig Celebration. This year's theme days are:
Session 1 - Carnival Day (June 11 - June 17)
Great Unique Carnival games, a great prize for the section with the most game points!
Session 2 -Time Warp Day (June 18 - June 24)
From prehistoric to future we'll celebrate with activities from all the ages! Great time for your favorite costume from history!
Session 3 - Pirate Day (June 25 - July 1)
Seaworthy fun all day long featuring the annual card board boat races and the best dressed pirate contest.
Session 4 - Backwards/Inside Out (July 2 - July 8)
Breakfast for Dinner and wake up to taps. We'll be flipping it all around! Plus the famous Anokijig 4th of July fireworks!
Back by popular demand, we'll put even more magic in Anokijig. Come ready to support your house for a day of Wizarding fun. Bring your best costume to win the costume contest.
Session 6 - Disney Day (July 16 - July 22)
Come join us as we make Anokijig an even more "magical kingdom". Celebrating every thing disney from Micky and Donald to Black Panther. Great time to pull out your favorite Disney costume.
Session 7 - Neptune Day (July 23- July 29)
Our popular annual 7th session event. The only time in the year to make the fabled Neptune Swim to Anokijig's own Optimist Island and earn an award; Plus a great day of aquatic themed fun!
Session 8 - Western Day (July 30 - Aug. 5)
Our annual celebration of the old west and the Anokijig Ranch. Horse and non-horse events all day with a prize for the best dressed cowboy and cowgirl.
Session 9 - Mystery Clue Day (Aug. 6 - Aug 12)
Participate live in Anokijig's "Who Dun It" mystery. Bring your detective tools and your detective brain to help us figure it all out.
