Lake Superior Canadian Kayaking Trip
(Grades
7 and up)
* Session 7 - July 26 thru August
1
This adventure will take you to Lake Superior Provincial
Park which is a spectacular wilderness area. Rocky coastline, shoreline
waterfalls, deep inland canyons, and mist shrouded peaks combine to make
this a breath-taking scenic area. The perfect place to camp, explore,
hike, fish, and learn the art of sea kayaking. Once you have mastered
the basics, you will travel by kayak to explore the lake canyons and
rocky coasts of this beautiful area. Your guides are experienced
campers and kayaking instructors, so no experience is necessary and all
equipment is provided. This will make your summer! Sign up early —
Passport required!

Apostle Island Kayaking Trip
(Grades
7 and up)
Session 5 - July 11 thru July 17 |
|
This is another Anokijig adventure to remember.You
will travel to Bayfield,Wisconsin; gateway to Apostle Island National
Lakeshore. Situated just off of the Southwestern shores of Lake Superior
the Apostle islands are a beautiful natural treasure waiting for you to
explore. Upon arrival you’ll meet with professional sea kayaking guides
for kayak safety and skill training. Following your training you’ll set
out with your guides and the Anokijig Staff for 3 days of adventure
camping and kayaking on and around several of the Apostle Islands. Your
last day will find you traveling back to Anokijig to take part in the
Beach Party and closing campfire ceremony. Bring your camera; you’ll
want to relive this trip for years
to come. Open to campers entering
7th grade or higher. |

Whitewater Trip

13 and up)

This will be a trip to be remembered and
talked about forever. Spend your first day at Anokijig preparing for
the weeks adventures. The following day
the group will travel to
the scenic Northeastern
part of Wisconsin and set up a base camp at Wildmans Whitewater Ranch.
Here you will have
the opportunity to challenge yourself
and spend
the afternoon on
the Alpine Climbing Tower. If that is
not exciting enough,
the remaining days of
the week will be spent on
the water. Each day will bring a new
adventure. Thrill-Cat (small catamarans) on
the Peshtigo, and ride
the big Rafts on
the Menominee…no dull moments on this
trip. The week will finish up back at Anokijig with a beach party and
closing ceremonies. Equipment is provided, so come along and just have
fun. Ages 13 and up.

We begins with a day of pre-trip and
free period activities at Camp. Next we travel to Brookfield Wisconsin
to learn the latest climbing techniques and challenge you on over 9500
sq. feet of indoor climbing surface at Adventure Rock. Then it’s on to
Devils Lake State park, one of Wisconsin’s premier lakes. Crystal blue
water and a beautiful campground will be the setting for camping,
swimming, and a full day of outdoor natural rock climbing, with
professional instructors. Next it’s over to Noah’s Ark
Water Park inWisconsin Dells to slide the waterslides for a full day of
wonderful wet fun.The final day will take you to Fondy Sports Park, Fond
Du Lac Wisconsin for your choice of Off-road and Indy style GO-KARTING,
batting cages, mini-golf, 3-d Crazy Maze, bumper boats, arcades,
aero-trim gyro weightlessness machine, and golf driving range.Your last
night will be spent at Camp enjoying the Beach Party and closing
campfire ceremony.
Open to campers entering 7th grade or higher.

Backcountry Canoe Fishing Trip
(Grades

This
trip is for those who really want to experience some primitive canoe
camping as well as do some great fishing. Join us for some amazing
Smallmouth Bass and Northern
Pike
fishing
while exploring a hidden gem of the Midwest, the Sylvania Wilderness Area. Start your week with a day at Anokijig learning
canoe basics, trip preparation, and safety; as well as enjoying a host
of free period offerings. Then we are off to the Upper Peninsula of
Michigan for backcountry camping and fishing at its best! We return to
camp Friday evening just in time for the beach party and closing
ceremonies. We provide the canoes, gear, and all the equipment you will
need, you provide the spirit of adventure!
Open to campers entering 7th grade orhigher.
