2021 Summer Special Day Themes


During each week-long session, one or more days are dedicated to a theme. We call it a “Special Day.” On Special Days, themed activities take place all over camp and always culminate with a great Anokijig Celebration. This year's theme days are:

Session 1 - Carnival Day  (June 13 - June 18)

Great Unique Carnival games, a great prize for the section with the most game points!

Session 2 - Star Wars Day  (June 20 - June 25)

Train to be an Anokijig Jedi and protect Camp from the dark side.

Session 3 - Medieval Day (June 27 - July 2)

Take part in a day of fun as camp heads back to the Dark Ages! 

Session 4 - Harry Potter Day  (July 4 - July 9)

Back by popular demand, we'll put even more magic in Anokijig. Come ready to support your house for a day of Wizarding fun. Bring your best costume to win the costume contest. Plus the famous Anokijig 4th of July fireworks!

Session 5 - Pirate Day (July 11 - July 16)
Seaworthy fun all day long featuring the annual card board boat races and the best dressed pirate contest.

Session 6 - Olympic Day (July 18 - July 23)

Everybody goes to the Anokijig Olympics right before the Tokyo ones! Have a great time experiencing Camp Olympic Events and help your country (section) bring home the GOLD!

Session 7 - Neptune Day  (July 25- July 30)

Our popular annual 7th session event. The only time in the year to make the fabled Neptune Swim to Anokijig's own Optimist Island and earn an award; Plus a great day of aquatic themed fun!

Session 8 - Western Day   (Aug. 1 - Aug. 6)

Our annual celebration of the old west and the Anokijig Ranch. Horse and non-horse events all day with a prize for the best dressed cowboy and cowgirl.

Session 9 - Game-On Day (Aug. 8 - Aug 13)

Who needs consoles, phones, or computers when you can play Live Anokijig versions of some of your most favorite computer and video games! Test all your gaming skills from head to toe (not just your thumbs!).
